Each bag comes with three unique activities (along with supplies and instructions.)

The challenges correspond with state educational standards and childhood developmental benchmarks. In other words, they provide a fun way to learn skills that kids need!

Those skills include:

  • Counting
  • Learning letters
  • Adding & subtracting
  • Identifying shapes
  • Tying your shoes
  • Recognizing patterns
  • Fine-motor control
  • Practicing sight words
  • Identifying street signs
  • Learning your address & phone number

These bags aren’t just for children preparing to enter kindergarten. They can be helpful to kids from ages three to six.

The bags are for in-library use only and cannot be taken home. Ask for the complete list of bags and activities at the Children’s Department in our Main Branch.
