Halloween Movie Party: Bride of Frankenstein @ Main

Grades 7-12 only. Registration begins October 16th. Join us as we watch The Bride of Frankenstein, a frightening (and funny!) horror classic. Refreshments and spooky-themed treats will be provided – and feel free to wear a costume!

DIY Neon Signs @ Main

6:00pm – 7:30pm

Teens! Create a unique neon sign for your room or for a friend. We will have design suggestions, but bring your creative ideas. All supplies are provided. Registration is required.

This program is for teens in grades 7-12. Sharp tools will be used under supervision. Project uses battery powered EL wire, no real neon used.

Pick up a kit at the reference desk with everything you need to make a fun craft, while supplies last. Only one craft kit is available per person.

All About the Moon @ Online

In this virtual program, we’ll explore Earth’s nearest neighbor — the Moon! We’ll learn all about the Moon’s phases and cycles, and how some of Earth’s many cultures have marked them. We’ll share tips on observing the Moon using telescopes, binoculars, or just your eyes. Plus, we’ll get a preview of November’s upcoming eclipse of the Moon. Presented by the Geauga Park District.

Don’t read your books – Listen to them instead! Not only can you download eBooks at MPL, but now you can also download Audiobooks. Audiobooks can now be loaded onto PCs, Macs®, MP3 players, and many other mobile devices directly from your computer at home.

Mentor Public Library has expanded its online services by adding “eAudiobooks,” available to download from the library’s Web site through a new service powered by OverDrive. The service is free to patrons with a Mentor Public Library card. Users will need to install OverDrive® Media Console™ a free software found on the library’s Web site.
