Join us at the Lake branch for a Teen Book Club. Pick up a copy of the book, read the book, then attend the book club in September where we will have pizza  and discuss the book.

The book this session is a graphic novel by Mariko Tamaki titled This One Summer. In addition to being a best selling book, This One Summer is a Caldecott Honor Book, Michael L. Printz Honor Book, and an Eisner Award winner.

This One Summer is a tremendously exciting teen graphic novel from two creators with true literary clout. Cousins Mariko and Jillian Tamaki, have collaborated on this gorgeous, heartbreaking, and ultimately hopeful story about a girl on the cusp of childhood – a story of renewal and revelation.
