Enjoy a free online talk with bestselling novelist Rebecca Serle at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 10.

Serle will discuss her forthcoming novel, Expiration Dates. It tells the story of Daphne Bell who always knows exactly how long her relationships will last… until she meets Jake.

Serle wrote the bestsellers One Italian Summer, In Five Years, and The Dinner List. She also developed the hit TV adaption Famous in Love from her YA series of the same name.

Adults and teens can read something new and win something too with our reading challenge this winter!

First, adults and teens (seventh grade and higher) can earn raffle tickets by filling out the library’s bingo card. Get the bingo card one of three ways:

• Visit mentorpl.beanstack.org
• Sign up on the Beanstack app (free from the Apple store and Google Play)
• Pick one up from the reference desk at our Main Branch

Earn a ticket for reading books and completing activities like attending a library program, reading about a president, or borrowing music, movies or audiobooks from us.

We’ll have prize drawings at the end of January and February.

Meanwhile, kids (ages 12 and younger) can build something big with our Lego Tower Reading Challenge this January and February. Every time children borrow three books — any three books — from us, they can go to the children’s desk at our Main Branch. They’ll receive two Lego bricks to add to the library’s tower. See how big it grows this winter!
