Trade in used puzzles for something new to you during our first ever Jigsaw Puzzle Swap Day from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 3, at our Main Branch.

From Jan. 29 to Feb. 1, anyone can drop off used puzzles at the front desk of our Main Branch. The puzzles should be:

• In good condition with no missing pieces
• In their original boxes
• At least 300 pieces

Donors will receive a ticket for each donated puzzle. The tickets can be redeemed for a new-to-you puzzle on our swap day! Any leftover puzzles will be donated to the library.

Do you know a child who can’t let Let It Go go? Bring ’em to the library! We’re hosting a sing-along of the Disney classic Frozen at noon on Saturday, Jan. 27, at our Main Branch.

Popcorn will be provided, and families are welcome to bring their own snacks or lunch. Registration is required. Sign up online or by calling our Children’s Department at 440-255-8811 ext. 3.

A licensed social worker from the Lake County Council on Aging describes the services the council provides including:

• benefits assistance
• Meals on Wheels
• mental health services
• transportation assistance
• housing and home repair assistance

She also explains what steps that seniors should take to prepare for an emergency and how to avoid the most popular scams. Don’t become a victim!

New club alert! We’re launching the Kids in the Kitchen Club where children can learn basic food-prep skills and make yummy snacks.

The first meeting will be 4 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 25, at our Main Branch. The kids will make their own charcuterie boards! The club is free to join and open to children aged eight to 12. Due to limited space, registration is required. Sign up online or call us 440-255-8811 ext. 3.

It’s the grownups turn to play! We’re hosting a videogame night for adults at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 24, at our Headlands Branch.

You’ll enjoy games from the Jackbox Party Pack and should bring a fully-charged mobile device to play along.
