Bestselling author Madeline Miller will explain how she crafts modern epics during an online conversation at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 21.

Miller wrote The Song of Achilles and Circe, both of which mined Greek mythology for stories and characters that still resonate with readers now. In addition to being an award-winning writer, Miller earned a master’s degree in classics from Brown University and studied dramaturgy at the Yale School of Drama where she focused on the adaptation of classic texts into modern forms. She also taught Latin, Greek and Shakespeare to high-school students for over a decade.
