Learn to make something new when you try some of Mentor Public Library’s craft tools. Kits are at the Main Library—stop in or call to have one set aside. Yarn, thread or scissors are not included.

Boye Beginners Knitting Kit
Teach yourself knitting with the Boye Beginners kit. The kit includes 4 knitting needles (2 each sizes 6 & 8), 2 yarn needles, 2 point protectors, 1 counter, 1 gold cable needle, 1 blue stich holder, 1 gauge, 10 markers, 1 DVD, and 1 instruction book with 18 projects. Yarn is not provided.
Knit Quick Long Knitting Loom
Use these long knitting looms to make flat knits, such as shawls, potholders, scarves and more! The kit includes 4 looms, 1 yarn needle, 1 loom pick, “Loom Knitting Primer” book, and 1 instruction sheet. Yarn not included.
Knitting Loom
Use a variety of plastic round plastic looms (11-inch, 9-inch, 7-inch and 5 1/4 –inch) to create hats, socks, gloves and more. The kit includes 4 looms, 1 yarn needle, 1 loom pick and hat instructions. Yarn not included.
Learn to Crochet Kit
Learn to crochet with the 15 projects in this book which includes instructions for projects including scarves, throws, mittens, travel bag and tablet cover. Directions are given for both right– and left-handed crocheting. The kit includes 5 metal crochet hooks, 2 tapestry yarn needles, split-ring stitch markers, tape measure and knit tally. Yarn not included.
Loopdeloom Weaving Loom
Weave simple projects to large complex designs with this spinning peg loom. Weave up to 7” wide or stitch pieces together. Create purses, gloves, headbands, blankets, placemats and more. Yarn not included.
Pompom Makers
Make fluffy pompoms for decorations, toys, costumes and more. This kit includes in four different sizes to use for your projects. Yarn and scissors are required. Check the catalog for pompom maker availability.
Sock Loom Kit
Make cozy socks, fancy socks, mittens, fingerless gloves and leg warmers with this sock loom kit. It features a regular gauge sock loom and two fine gauge sock looms and includes blue handle hooks, tapestry needles and size 5 double-pointed needles. Use the enclosed project book for useful loom instructions and projects for both looms.
