Dr. Roseann Canfora will share her personal account of what occurred on May 4, 1970, at Kent State University when members of the Ohio National Guard fired into a crowd — killing four and wounding nine — during a program at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1, at our Lake Branch.

Canfora was an eyewitness that fatal day. She’s now professional in residence and assistant professor in the Media & Journalism Department at KSU. She also chairs the May 4 Presidential Advisory Committee and May 4 Commemoration Committee at KSU.

Her talk is free to attend. Due to limited space, registration is required. Sign up online or call us at 440-255-8811 ext. 1.
