We’re offering four free computer classes at our Lake Branch in August, including introductions to Facebook and Microsoft Word.

The classes include:

  • Facebook Basics at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 6. Learn how to use Facebook during this hands-on class. Please come to this class knowing your Facebook login information, including your password.
  • Word I at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 6. Learn how to use Microsoft Word to create documents, open an existing document, select text and change its formatting, and save your work.
  • Basic Computer Skills and Webpage Searching at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 7. Learn the basic skills needed to use a computer and search the Internet.
  • Word II at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug, 7. Learn advanced techniques for Microsoft Word, including how to use mini toolbars, spell and grammar check, and its thesaurus. Also learn how to adjust margins, orientation, spacing and alignment in a document.
