Kids can make masterpieces and a bit of a mess every Friday at our Headlands Branch.

Starting this April, the branch will offer Finger Paint Fridays. We’ll provide paper, paint and aprons, and the kids can come in and create anytime from 10 a.m. to noon. No registration is required, but the young artists may have to wait for their turn if space is tight.

Finger painting has practical and artistic benefits for kids. It exercises creativity and improves fine-motor skills. Finger Paint Fridays are free to enjoy and kids of all ages can participate.

By the way, if you have a young artist or enjoy trying new art projects yourself, check out ARTPOCALYPSE for more ideas. Each Tuesday, Mr. Josh from our Headlands Branch shares a different craft or science experiment that your family can do from home. Discover how to transform a hula hoop into a loommake a secret code, or create a homemade lava lamp with ARTPOCALYPSE.
