We’re celebrating what would have been Eric Carle’s 94th birthday with a pair of programs this June!
Eric Carle is the author and illustrator behind The Very Hungry Caterpillar, The Grouchy Ladybug, A House for Hermit Crab and dozens more picture books that have entranced generations and spurred them to enjoy reading.
We’ll host our Happy Birthday Eric Carle program at noon on Tuesday, June 25, at our Main Branch. It’s open to kids of all ages. They’ll celebrate his birthday with Carle’s stories and crafts inspired by his books.
Then, we’ll host a special Eric Carle Story Time at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 29, at our Headlands Branch. Kids (ages four and older) can celebrate with a fun afternoon of stories and crafts.
