Friends, families and classes can enjoy reading the same book together using one of the COBAA book kits from our Lake Branch.
The Lake Branch has nine different kits, including titles for the youngest readers to teens and adults. And each kit contains 12 copies of the same book. They’re ideal for everything from play groups to book clubs to home school.
The available titles are:
- Each Kindness and The Day You Begin by Jacqueline Woodson, illustrated by E.B. Lewis and Rafael Lopez respectively (children’s picture books)
- Dog Man and Dog Man: Grime and Punishment by Dav Pilkey (children’s graphic novels)
- Dairy Queen by Catherine Gilbert Murdock (teen)
- Long Way Down by Jason Reynolds, illustrated by Danica Novgorodoff (teen graphic novel)
- The Giver by Lois Lowry, illustrated by P. Craig Russell (teen graphic novel)
- This One Summer by Jillian Tamaki and Mariko Tamaki (teen graphic novel)
- Kent State: Four Dead in Ohio by Derf Backderf (teen/adult graphic novel)
Each book is by Ohio authors and illustrators or have been recognized by Ohio-based book award programs. We received the books via the Celebrating Ohio Book Awards & Authors (COBAA) grant from the Library Services and Technology Act.
The kits can be borrowed for a full six weeks and are available now at our Lake Branch.
