Blasting off at our Headlands Branch.

Blasting off at our Headlands Branch.

Earlier this month at our Headlands Branch, we celebrated the breadth of our 200 years of  history with a rocket-ship craft and covered-wagon craft.

The best part? The covered wagon was edible.

... and tasty!

… and tasty!

We’re not finished celebrating our bicentennial either.  To celebrate our 200th anniversary, you can read away the fines on your Mentor Public Library card on Saturdays this September.

Every Saturday this upcoming month, you can read at one of our branches. One dollar of your fines will be waived for every half hour you read. You can have up to $10 in fines forgiven this way this September.

To participate, you will need to pick up a Read Away Your Fines slip from the circulation desk when you arrive at the branch, and return it filled out when you have finished reading.

One exception: bills accrued from lost items and referral fees cannot be waived as part of this promotion.
