Kids can learn by creating and experimenting with us during a pair of weekly programs this July at our Main and Headlands Branches.

First, children and teens can enjoy Tinker Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to noon every Tuesday – except for the Fourth of July – at our Headlands Branch.

They’ll enrich their summer with self-directed science and technology play using the branch’s Tinkerlab. The Tinkerlab includes a Cricut, small 3D printer, and toys that can teach the basics of programming and circuit building.

No registration is required for Tinker Tuesdays, but equipment will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Meanwhile, we’re also hosting a Tinkerlab Reading Hour at 1 p.m. every Thursday this July at our Main Branch. The reading hour is for kids entering kindergarten through sixth grade. They will explore science, technology, engineering and math with a story and STEM activities that emphasize thinking and problem solving.

Due to limited space, registration is required to join the Tinkerlab Reading Hour. Sign up online or call our Main Branch at 440-255-8811 ext. 3.

Both Tinker Tuesdays and Tinkerlab Reading Hours are made possible by a Libraries Accelerating Learning grant from the Ohio Department of Education.
