Year of Giving begins with McKinley Community Outreach Center
To celebrate Mentor Public Library’s 200th anniversary, we’re hosting an item donation drive for a different local nonprofit each month in 2019.
We call it our Year of Giving, and it begins by collecting food and household items for McKinley Community Outreach Center this January. You can donate at all of our branches.
McKinley provides food, furniture, medical supplies, household goods and more to those in need. And this is your chance to help those who need it most.
Right now, McKinley is requesting nonperishable food donations, including:
- Canned fruits and vegetables
- Cereal
- Macaroni and cheese
- Pasta and pasta sauce
- Peanut butter
- Jelly
- Rice
- Soups (especially tomato & cream of mushroom)
- Tuna
They’re also grateful for donations of household items like:
- Toilet paper
- Paper towels
- Laundry soap
- Diapers and wipes
- Feminine products
Our Year of Giving continues all year. The calendar is:
