Explore Ohio Caverns – the largest cave system in Ohio – without leaving Lake County during a fun program for geology and travel enthusiasts at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, May 13, at our Main Branch.

Kevin Magee will lead everyone on a digital tour of the caverns, which are near Columbus and were formed during the last ice age. Discover the underground chambers that have nicknames like Palace of the Gods and the Jewel Room, as well as their unique crystal formation.

This program is free to attend and open to all. We only ask that you register beforehand. You can sign up online or call us at (440) 255-8811 ext. 247.

By the way, if you love geology, you’ll love some of the Great Courses series that you can watch for free on Hoopla. Geology experts take you on guided tours of the National Parks and other wonders around the world.

We also have dozens of books and DVDs about geology that you can borrow.
