Readers of all ages – kids, teens and, yes, even adults – can win spectacular prizes during Summer Reading at Mentor Public Library. This year’s theme is All Together Now. And you can sign up at any MPL branch starting June 1.

Once registered, kids (those entering sixth grade or younger) will earn a raffle ticket for every hour they read or are read to. The more they read, the better chance they have to win one of the library’s prizes.

Children can also earn some fun rewards along the way. If they reach the 10-hour mark, they can vote for the color Miss Kim and Miss Gillian will dye their hair. Also, kids who read at least 20 hours during Summer Reading will earn a library card holder and golden ticket for a chance to win $50 gift cards.

Meanwhile, teens (those entering seventh grade and older) and adults can sign up for summer reading in person at the library, online at mentorpl.beanstack.org, or by using the Beanstack app. Then you can use Beanstack to record what they read. For every book you read or audiobook you listen to, you’ll receive an entry into one of the our teen or adult prize raffles.

This year’s theme is All Together Now and the we’re hosting programs for all ages this summer about our local community. Check out our full event calendar here.

Summer Reading launches Thursday, June 1, with a super scavenger hunt at our Main Branch. The last day to earn raffle tickets is Sunday, July 30.
