Dr. John Foster will explore one of World War II’s most famous and crucial episodes – the sinking of The Bismarck – during a free lecture at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 13, at our Main Branch.
Foster will explain both the danger The Bismarck presented and the deadly game of cat-and-mouse that preceded its sinking.
The program is open to all. Due to limited space, registration is required. Click here to sign up for the Bismarck program or call us at 440-255-8811 ext. 1.
In addition to being a reference librarian, Foster has a doctorate degree in history. He has taught history at both high school and college levels. Previously, he has led series on the Battles of World War II, the American Revolution, Cold War, and US Presidents of the 20th Century at the library.
