Got a garden overflowing with vegetables or maybe just have a hankering for French cuisine? Learn how to create the classic French dish ratatouille during a free cooking class hosted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 3, at our Main Branch.

LaDonna Oltmanns from Let’s Cook will demonstrate how to make ratatouille using eggplant, zucchini, tomato, onions and peppers. The result is low in calorie and carbohydrates but high in flavor. Let’s Cook is a plant-based, mobile cooking school that offers classes on basic cooking skills.

This program is free to attend. Due to limited space, registration is required. Sign up on our website or call us at 440-255-8811 ext. 1.

If you’re looking for ways to kick it up a notch in the kitchen, check out our Spice Club! Each month, you can pick up a free spice kit from the reference desk at our Main Branch. (One kit per family, while supplies last.) The kits include a sample of the spice of the month, advice on how to use it, and a few recipes that you can try. August’s spice is oregano!
