What information we collect;
With whom it is shared;
How it can be corrected;
How it is secured;

How to address concerns over misuse of personal data.
Collection of Data
MPL may request personal data from you through our Website and via e-mail, over the telephone, and through a social media service (for example Facebook, Twitter, Instagram). When you create an account, register to bid, consign, or purchase a vehicle, you must provide a variety of information to us, including contact information (like name, driver’s license number, email, phone number and address), financial information (like credit card number, expiration date) and information regarding your vehicle. Also, to the extent you provide information to us in the form of feedback, product reviews and photographs or through questions or comments, we may collect and store this user-generated content. MPL also automatically gathers personal data through your use of the Website and with tracking technologies such as cookies. More information about these tracking technologies and how to opt out of them are included in the Tracking Technologies section below.
Use of Collected Data
We will use this data only as necessary for the purposes for which it was obtained. We may use your personal data for some or all of the following purposes:
Consumer Service. To provide you with consumer service, including responses to your inquiries, complaints and general feedback about our products. Consumer service may be provided through various forms of communication, including via email, letter, telephone and online chat features. We may also use the information to send you technical notices, updates and changes to our policies.
Personalized Service. To personalize or otherwise customize your experience on our Website by, among other things, ranking search results or customizing your experience based on your search, purchase history or preferences.
Consumer engagement. To get you more actively engaged with our products and services and communicate with you about products, services, promotions, events and other news and information we think may be of interest to you. This may involve the use or publication of user-generated content such as feedback, reviews and photographs.
We are the sole owners of the information collected on our Website. We only have access to collect information that you voluntarily give us. We will not sell or rent this information to anyone. Except as otherwise provided in this Notice, we will not share your information with any third party outside of MPL other than as necessary to facilitate the consignment, bidding and/or purchase of the vehicle: payment processing, vehicle inspection, billing and collections, shipment and other transportation logistics, insurance, data storage/management, webhosting, fulfillment, assembly, marketing and data enhancement, mailing, and emailing as well as various customer, tech and operational support. If you are a consignor/seller or winning bidder/buyer of a vehicle, we will only share your contact information with the other party to the transaction as needed to transfer title of the vehicle.
We may also disclose your information to a third party: (1) when we believe in good faith that it is necessary to comply with any applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, such as lawful requests by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements; (2) in order to investigate, prevent or take action regarding potential illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person or situations involving potential violations of our Terms and Conditions or other policies; (3) to other companies and organizations for fraud protection and risk reduction; and (4) to enforce any agreement we have with you.
Protection of Information
We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the Website, your information is protected both online and offline. Wherever we collect sensitive information (such as credit card data), that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a closed lock icon on your web browser, or looking for “https” at the beginning of the address of the web page. While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Within MPL, only essential employees who need the information to perform a specific job (e.g. logistics, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers on which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.
Tracking Technology Choices
Web server logs. As is true of most websites, we gather certain information automatically through your use of the Website. This information may include Internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet service provider (ISP), referring or exit pages, the files viewed on the Website (e.g., HTML pages, graphics, etc.), operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data to analyze trends in the aggregate and administer the site. We use analytical software, i.e., HubSpot, to help us understand this information. This software sends information to its licensor. Other sites and companies may also use this software. As a result, the licensor may collect information that, when aggregated by them, allows them to identify you individually. We have no responsibility for this collection and use.
Your browser settings may allow you to automatically transmit a “Do Not Track” signal to online services you visit. Note, however, there is no industry consensus as to what site and app operators should do with regard to these signals. Accordingly, we do not monitor or take action with respect to the “Do Not Track” signals or other mechanisms.

You may also do the following at any time by contacting us via the email address or phone number provided on our Website:

Our Website may contain links to third party sites and services not provided by MPL. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our Website and to read the privacy statements of any other site that collects personally identifiable information.
Surveys & Contests
From time-to-time MPL may have contests or surveys on social media that will incentivize participation in online or in person events related to MPL. Personal data may be requested to participate in these contests or surveys. Participation is completely voluntary and you may choose whether or not to participate and therefore disclose this information. Information requested may include contact information.
Notification of Changes
MPL will occasionally update this Notice. When a revision is made, we will revise the “last revised” date on this page and any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the revised Notice. Your continued use of our Website indicates your consent to the Notice then posted.
Privacy of Minors
MPL does not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under the age of 13, we will strictly comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”). If you are a parent or guardian and believe we have collected such information in a manner not permitted by COPPA, please contact us as set forth in the Contact Us section below and we will remove such data to the extent required by COPPA.
