Kids can create artwork like Piet Mondrian during our first ever Masterpieces at Main art club meeting.

Do your children like playing with color and shapes? Are they, in short, artsy?

We’ve got a new club that they’ll love – Masterpieces at Main, which meets at 4 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month at our Main Branch. The first meeting will be Jan. 10.

Each month, they’ll try out a new art project with Ms. Robyn from our Children’s Department. In January, they’ll use grids and primary colors to make artwork like Piet Mondrian.

The club is open to all kids (eight to 12 years old.) And they don’t need to paint like Picasso or sculpt like Michelangelo to participate. However, to get the most out of the club, they will need to be able to work independently. Also, art can get messy, so dress appropriately.

You can register online for your children to join or call us at (440) 255-8811 ext. 221.

If you or your family love art, then we have more clubs you’ll enjoy:

  • Studio MPL returns in a new place but with a familiar face. Ms. Lisa will guide children through different artists and techniques. Now at the Lake Branch! The next program will be 4 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 21. Call or register online to attend.
  • Kids aren’t the only ones who can get creative. Adults can join us for our Creative Connections Club. Each month, we’ll explore new mediums and techniques. We’ll meet next at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 30, at our Lake Branch.
