Local history and train enthusiasts can explore the railways of the famous Maple Leaf Route with the man who wrote the book about it. Travel back in time with author Dr. Dan Rager. He’ll lead a picturesque journey of the Maple Leaf Route that ran through Geauga County from 1899 to 1925. It had stops in such lovely locales as Bass Lake Resort, Burton Sugar Camp, and Chesterland Caves Resort. Explore its complicated construction, initial popularity, and sudden demise.

Thanks to Dr. Rager’s generosity we are allowed to share this program online until Tuesday, Dec. 20. So please don’t wait too long to watch it!
