Gong xi fa cai!

Kids can celebrate and learn about the Lunar New Year during a free program at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 21, at our Main Branch. The Lunar New Year is an Asian holiday celebrated in China, Singapore, North and South Korea, Vietnam, Indonesia, and other countries in East and Southeast Asia. Families welcome the new year and honor their ancestors.

At our program, children will celebrate the holiday with crafts and traditional music. And since it’s the Year of the Rabbit, we’ll be joined by our resident Book Bunnies, Hopkins and Hazel.

The festivities are free and open to all kids from ages three to 10. Due to limited space, registration is required. Sign up on our website or call our Children’s Department at 440-255-8811 ext. 3.
