Jack Marschall is best known as an Emmy Award-winning broadcaster who spent decades sharing the news on channels 5, 19 and 43. He’s also a writer.

His newest book — From the Heart: Words for a Weary World — collects poems and short stories inspired by the separation, anxiety, and forlornness of COVID. He hopes his stories can help people find connection and reassurance that they are not alone. In our interview, he also discusses how writing has been therapeutic to him … and not just during the pandemic.
