How does Washington D.C. welcome new residents to the White House? With a ball, of course!
Explore the history of inaugural balls throughout America’s history during a free program at noon on Wednesday, Jan. 8, at our Main Branch. The speaker will be a ranger from the James A. Garfield National Historic Site in Mentor. Naturally, they will also highlight President Garfield’s ball at the Smithsonian Institution.
The talk is open to all. Due to limited space, registration is required. Click here to register for the program or call the library at 440-255-8811 ext. 1.
