Kids (in kindergarten through fourth grade) can become energy explorers during a special program with NOPEC at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 14, at our Main Branch.
NOPEC is the Northeast Ohio Public Energy Council. They have partnered with us to offer hands-on activities that show how energy works. That includes NOPEC’s energy bike, which demonstrates how much pedaling power is needed to illuminate a light bulb. It also shows how mechanical energy (moving something) is turned into electricity.
Children can try the energy bike, as long as their grownup signs a waiver.
The program is free to attend. Due to limited space, registration is required. Click here to sign up for the Energy Explorers program or call us at 440-255-8811 ext. 3.
