Those rabbits are dynamite!

Kids read to our Book Bunnies, Hazel and Hopkins this afternoon at our Main Branch. It made them so hoppy to listen to the children.

By the way, if your kids prefer pups to rabbits, they can sign up for Paws to Read later this week. This program pairs young readers and adorable therapy dogs.

Paws to Read is open to any kids who can read independently between the ages of six and 12 years old. Each child gets 30 minutes to read with their therapy dog. We’ll be hosting sessions at 6:30 and 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 14, at our Main Branch and 2 and 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 16, at our Headlands Branch. Registration is required at both locations.

Both groups of furry friends – dogs and rabbits alike – make an ideal audience for reluctant readers: supportive, adorable and happy to listen. See for yourself!
