The Education Service Center of the Western Reserve is hosting a pair of programs designed to strengthen the partnership between schools and families this February at our Main Branch. Each session provides valuable tools and strategies to support student success.
The topic for the first session is bullying, and it will be 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 13. Learn:
- the tools to address and prevent bullying
- what warning signs to look for
- how to handle the situation if your child experiences or contributes to bullying
- and how to talk to your child’s school about bullying.
During this session, speakers from the Educational Service Center will be joined by special guests Sandra Tenkku from the Lake County ADAMHS Board and Tricia Zeedrich, the family support and engagement coordinator from Mentor Schools. You can click here to register for the bullying program.
The second session will discuss chronic absenteeism at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb 20. Learn what chronic absenteeism is and how parents and caregivers can support school attendance. You can click here to register for the chronic absenteeism program.
